My dad..Who I loved dearly..He had a hard life,and lots of losses in his life..He was a quiet man,proud and independent.
He worked all his life ...down the mines of south Wales, he served in the army during the war, which I think was his best years,he loved the Army,my dad wouldnt say two words ,but put him with another old soldier and you wouldnt stop him talking..
I used to think my dad was not loving ,but now realise that he was from an era when love and affection wasnt shown..
When my dad was dying I went to Wales to see him and told him I loved him a million times in those last hours..I held his hand ,something he wouldnt have let you do if he was ok..
He knew he was going ...he lifted his oxygen mask off and said .."I love you "...I had waited years and years for that...
Some people can't express what they really feel...but it is there .

In a nice but strange daze
Getting stronger, happier, even younger!
Each step we take
It takes us through forests of sweet smelling pine.
Through Gardens of Beautifull flowers that ease the mind
Past a beautifull sunset over the sea
Through a beautifull stars and moon scene
Until we get to the gate we hear an Angel call

Then our Loved ones we do hear

Then the doors open

IN A GARDEN FOR ANGELS
Life is a gift not ours to keep,
A seed unsown and yet we still reap.
Here for only a very short while,
The heavenly reality of an earthly denial.
Like a flickering light here and then gone,
The essence of what love is based upon.
Birth and death the beginning and end,
As one heart breaks another one mends.
What was never ours is no more,
Returning to whom it belonged before?
Tear filled eyes silence the heart,
As body and spirit slowly part.
Life is a journey from first breath to last,
Memories left behind in the eternal past.
The here and now releases becoming a remember when,
Replanting the seed so that a new harvest can begin.
With trembling hands love says good-bye,
But still the heart can't help but ask, "Why God Why?"
